The short version. The app is a calculation aid. Check every result against the code book and your authority having jurisdiction before you rely on it. Pro is sold through Google Play or the App Store, under their billing terms.
These terms apply when you download or use Ohm's Law Calculator (“the app”), published by Scanly Studio. By using the app you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if these terms conflict with it on an iPhone, Apple's agreement wins.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own work. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
The app calculates values from the formulas and NEC 2026 tables it cites, and from what you type in. It does not know your installation, local amendments, manufacturer instructions, or the edition of the code your jurisdiction has adopted. Electrical work can injure or kill and must comply with the codes that apply where you work. Every result must be checked by a qualified person against the current code book and the authority having jurisdiction before it is used for design, installation, or inspection. The app does not replace a licensed electrician or engineer.
Ohm's law and many calculators are free. Pro unlocks the rest and is offered as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the price shown on the plan screen before you confirm. Purchases are processed by Google Play or, on an iPhone, by Apple. A yearly subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your store account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you keep Pro until that period ends. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy. See the support page for how to cancel, restore, or request a refund.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it is error-free, complete, or fit for a particular purpose, and that includes the accuracy of any table, formula, or result.
To the extent the law allows, Scanly Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damage, or for any loss arising from reliance on a result of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
What the app stores, and where, is described in the privacy policy. In short: on your phone only.
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
